Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.

Your Stones

In Joshua 4, God performs a miraculous act.  He halts the flow of water in the Jordan.  Halting the flow of the water enabling the Israelites to cross over into the promised land.  After crossing, he gave Joshua these instructions.  “Choose twelve men from among the people, one from each tribe, and them to take up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, and carry them over with you and put them down at the place were you stay tonight.” -Joshua 4:2-3

Memorial

In the future, when you children ask you, “What do these stones mean?” -Joshua 4:6

The stones were to be a memorial to the people of Israel to always remember the great works and love of the Lord. The stones would always show the place where God made a way for his people.  For his people to enter the promised land taking possession.

Reflection

Take time to reflect on these three questions:

  1. What are you constructing with your stones?
  2. How do you want to be remembered?
  3. What will be your memorial?

Your life

Your life is a gift.  A gift to utilize to build up this world.   You are to make a difference.

To thrive not survive. Thriving adds value to the world and those around you.  Paving a way for those that are to follow.  Striving to be excellent not average. Average is between the top and bottom.  This means you are in limbo, dangling from the rope.  You will need to make a decision and commitment on effort.  Expending effort to get to the top or settling for the bottom.

Your stones are to be a testament to your imprint made in this world and on those around you.  The contributions of the life that you were gifted.
