Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.

There will be Distractions

Nehemiah had a vision and a cause. Nehemiah went to the house of Shemaiah who was on house arrest.  Shemaiah stated to Nehemiah that he should run away and hide.  He was to give up on his cause –reconstructing the wall in Jerusalem.  Shemaiah made false claims in attempt to take Nehemiah off his cause. Nehemiah saw through this unclever ruse.   He stated “Should a man like me run away?  How can someone like me enter the temple and live?  I will not go.” – Nehemiah 6:11

Do not be intimated.

Nehemiah saw right through Shemaiah. He was attempting to intimidate and scare him.  Nehemiah knew that God had not sent Shemaiah. Shemaiah was a pawn of his enemies. He was put in to play to dissuade and distract Nehemiah.   Nehemiah knew that if he ran, it would show cowardice and lack of faith. He would regret his action and not have accomplished the purpose of his life.

Like Nehemiah, as you press forward living in your purpose and doing the work you were created to do, you will be assaulted by your enemies. Your enemies will employee tactics to take you off course because you are succeeding.  You must remain focused and committed, not falling for the distractions.   Believe in your cause.  Have faith in the greatness that is within you and with you.

Let your faith be like this rock.

Your faith will enable and empower you to keep moving forward achieving success.  You cannot allow others or situations to distract and dissuade you from that which you believe.  Keep moving forward in what you are striving to accomplish.  Do not run away.  Stay your course.  Believe in what you are pursuing and doing.  You will succeed. Success causes your enemies to distract you. Do not fall for the distraction.  Stay your course.
