Matthew 12:37 states the profound significance of words: “For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned” (NIV).  Words are the vessels through which you express thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Crafted by the intricate interplay of the stomach (emotions), heart (feelings), and brain (thoughts) within you.

Shapes Reality

You have divine capabilities that shape your reality through words spoken. What is spoken is believed. God spoke the universe into existence. Creating you in his image and granting you authority. Your words reflect your potential. Potential that molds your destiny and influence the outcomes of your life. You have the gift of communication to produce an abundant harvest and to bring about good.  Mirroring the divine intention behind creation.

Be Responsible

Yet, with this power comes responsibility. You are to exercise discernment and love in your speech. Speech creates word patterns. Word patterns that are the result of words. Words that  empower and inspire not only you but others. Words that reflect sound reasoning and goodwill. Bearing fruit that is abundant and nourishing to you and those around you.

Accountability

Recognize the weight of accountability that accompanies your speech.  Matthew 12:36 states that you will be called to give an account for every word uttered. Your words shape your destiny and impact your outcomes. You are responsible for the impact they have on you and others. Moving you forward to live in purpose.  Performing the work called to do.

Power

Use the power of words wisely, speaking words of kindness, encouragement, and truth. Be mindful of the legacy you are creating with your speech.  Words impact potential. Shaping destiny of self as others.

Call to Action

Over the next three days, take an inventory of your words. Evaluate their patterns. Remove and replace with word patterns that support you in getting what you need to live in purpose, being impactful and significant.
