The Heart Is a Reflection of Who You Are

The heart is a vital organ in the body.  It is the central core of your being and who you are.  The heart is the source of your emotions.    Without a heart, one cannot live.  Your actions are a mirror of what is in your heart.  Take time this week to reflect on what is in your heart and if your actions are in alignment.   Identify your values and values.  As water reflects a face, so a man’s heart reflects the man. – Proverbs 27:19

In Mark 7, the Pharisees were so concerned with the disciples eating food with hands that had not been washed.  They were focusing on the small picture, missing the big picture.  Jesus said “Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather it is what comes of a person that defiles them.” – Mark 7:15-16. Essentially, it that which is within a person that defiles.

The heart feeds the spirit and mind.  It provides the fuel to your words and actions. As such, we must guard our heart.  Being mindful of what it feed and what you use to nurture.  Above all else, guard your heart, for it is a wellspring of life. – Proverbs 4:23 Your heart is a reflection of your values.  Our values make us who we are and the actions that we take.  Our values are our identity, providing joy and fulfillment.    Through you heart, you establish a connection with others.  With your heart you speak into the lives of others.  Your heart is the core of your being and who you are.

  1. Great blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything.

Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are
so many options out there that I’m totally confused ..

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

    • With blogs the key is to speak from the heart. Let what is on your mind guide you on what to say. As far as paid not understanding this question. There is no fee to have a blog on Word Press. Continue to press forward and forward your vision.
