Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. -John 6:11 Jesus feed five thousand with five loaves of bread and two fish. The food multiplied.
Disciples Tested
Jesus tested the disciples by asking how the people would eat. He already knew what was going to happen. Jesus wanted to see if the disciples knew what was possible. The disciples failed the test. The disciples answered that it was impossible to feed the people. There was no food available. The disciples were looking at only what they could see with their eyes. The disciples failed to see beyond their sight. Physical sight limits God’s power. The disciples did not trust God beyond their physical sight.
Be thankful.
Jesus gave thanks. Expressing gratitude to the Father of what was to come. Thankfulness opens the door to making the impossible possible. Thanks shows the Father that you believe and have faith in what He can do. Gratefulness in the Father who is the Provider. Thanks requires that you have a foundation in F.E.A.S.T. – faith, endurance, action, strength and trust.
Build your F.E.A.S.T.
Faith in the Father produces endurance to press forward through the circumstances, taking action based on strength in His Word (being rooted) because of trust in Him. F.E.A.S.T removes the limits placed on the Father to realize the impossible.
This coming Thanksgiving holiday as you are feasting on food, reflect upon your F.E.A.S.T. F.E.A.S.T. takes your little and multiplies it into an abundance. Living purposefully requires that you have a mindset of abundance. Believing in abundance combats scarcity and not having enough. You know that what is not available will be provided. Construct a F.E.A.S.T. that supports your spirit. Food is good; however, F.E.A.S.T. is greater. F.E.A.S.T of the spirit is everlasting while the feast of food is temporary. With F.E.A.S.T. you will never be hungry.
From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving.
