Thankfulness is 365 Days

Thanksgiving Day has been designated as a day of giving thanks, being thankful. One special day; however, being and giving thanks should be 365 days.    Being thankful requires that you know why you should be thankful.   Be thankful to God because of the gift of his Son.  It is because of Christ that we have been qualified to share in the light, being delivered from darkness, transference into the kingdom along with redemption and forgiveness of your sins.  Be thankful to our Father for his love, mercy and grace.  Know and fully recognize with gratitude that the Lord Himself is God;  It is He who made us, not we ourselves.  We are His people and the sheep of his pasture.- Psalm 100:3.

Examine the word thanks which means an expression of gratitude, grateful acknowledgment.

Giving and expressing thanks should not just be a one-day annual event.  Incorporate it daily into your life.  As you get out of bed each day, make it a practice of saying thanks to the Lord for blessing you with life, an abundant life.  As you get back into bed, make it a practice of giving the Lord thanks for allowing you to enjoy the abundant life that you lived for the day.

Always give thanks in everything and for everything.  Be thankful in all circumstances, because of the circumstance molds and develops you.  What appears not for our good is because it is used to make us like Christ.  Making us better and stronger.

Thankfulness places your focus on the sovereignty of God, who works all things together for your good, regardless of how it may seem to you.  Thankfulness keeps our eyes on the Lord, it also keeps us alert and promotes an eagerness to go to God in prayer to lay our burdens at His feet.  Thankfulness places us in the presence of the Lord, filling you with peace and joy. In all that we do –  Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again:  Rejoice! – Philippians 4:4.
