God grants the authority to people. He places people in positions of power. God grants authority to fulfill His purpose and will. There are individuals who seek to fool and distract you in thinking they are in control. They are the source of their power. Know that God is in charge. There is a plethora of reasons that God grants authority. Reasons that are beyond your comprehension.
Cast members.
You and they are fulfilling God’s will. Do not waste time lamenting over the who and the position. Keep your focus on performing and fulfilling your assignment. Jesus was facing crucifixion. He endured unbearable suffering. Suffering beyond your imagination. Pilate was questioning him, stating he had the power over his life. Jesus knew Pilate was a supporting cast member in his journey to fulfill his purpose.
God is in control.
“You would have no authority over me at all,” Jesus answered him, “if it hadn’t been given you from above.” -John 19:11
Pilate blinded by his arrogance, did not understand his role. He was a cast member to support the purpose. Pilate missed what was occurring and taking place. He was in the presence of God who was in control. God writes the plays and scripts. Pilate was a supporting cast member to aid in fulfilling the purpose for Jesus’ life.
Keep Moving Forward
God says to be respectful to individuals in positions of authority. God grants the authority. He uses the individuals to aid and support you to evolve, grow and learn. Individuals are instruments to aid in your pursuit to living in purpose. Know who you are and whose you are. There is no need to be hostile, antagonist or arrogant resulting in insubordination. Respect the position. Reflect upon how the person is aiding and supporting you. There is a reason the person is in the position. The reason for the authority that you are to learn, aiding and supporting you. Benefiting you in your journey to purpose. The person is a supporting cast member in your journey. They are there to assist in keeping you moving forward.
