As you journey through life, you will have to make the commitment to remain courageous and committed to your path. Commitment requires that you overcome and face opposition, adversity, pain and hardship. You cannot allow others to distract or take you on a detour.
Let’s look at a compelling example in the Bible – Jesus. Without Jesus, there would be no forgiveness of sin and access to everlasting life. It is access because one must first believe in Jesus and accept him as the Savior. Jesus sacrificed his life for us to have everlasting life. His commitment led to being burdened with our sin and separation from the Father. Prior to his persecution and death, Jesus prayed to the Father twice to take away the cup from whence he must drink. “My Father, it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink, may your will be done.”-Matthew 26:42.
As with Jesus, you must have the courage to commit to your path. Do not allow others to detour or distract you from your course. You must have courageous persistence. Remain optimistic in the pursuit of your purpose. You will need to endure, be consistent and persistent. Know that your path is serving a higher purpose. Believe in what you are doing and do not allow yourself to be taken on a detour or give up. Stand firm, and you will win life.-Luke 21:19.
