The king of Aram was at war with Israel. The king sent an army of Arameans to attack and kill Elisha. Elisha prayed to God for help, specifically to strike the army with blindness. God answered. Elisha led the army to Samaria. They were surrounded and outnumbered. The Arameans were at the mercy of Elisha and the king of Israel. The king of Israel asked to kill them.
Elisha was influenced by divine goodness and power instead of by evil. He protected the Arameans from the danger in which he had brought them. The Arameans were brought before the king of Israel to be convicted and shamed, not to be killed. Elisha directed the king to not kill them instead feed them and let them go. The king listened and obeyed, preparing and hosting a great feast. The Arameans drank and ate to their contentment. Afterwards they were sent home. None of them were harmed or injured.
Your duty is to love your enemies and by doing good you bring them to shame. Showing kindness and love is the best form of attack. It will cause your enemies to change their behavior. When you return violence, anger, rage or hospitality it continues the endless cycle. Instead show love and kindness, bringing your enemies to shame. Because of kindness and love, the Arameans left the land and never returned. The most glorious victory is to turn your enemy from foe to friend. Focus instead on reforming your enemies, changing their mindset.
If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty give him water to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you. –Proverbs 25:21-22

Thank God for his love and tender mercy you have to give love to everyone you don’t have to like them but you do have to love them don’t be like the devil who wants to kill and destroy you love your neighbor even if it is your enemy
