Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.

See with Your Spirit

In the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15: 11-31), the father had two sons.   The youngest son demanded that his father give to him now the share of his inheritance.  Imagine, speaking to your parent in such a manner.   An inheritance is a gift not an entitlement.

Set out to live in the world, being in and of the world.

The father granted his demand.  Immediately the young son set off to be in the world. Living it up.  There was no planning, preparation or thinking.   His plan was to simply live, not thinking about tomorrow or the future.  The young son went through his money like water.  Lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. -1 John 2:16 Lust and pride of life resulted in him becoming penniless, homeless and hungry. Now he had to work.  He was working feeding and tending the pigs.  His hunger caused to want to eat what the pigs were eating. Thinking to eat what the pig’s eat made him come to his senses.

You can go back home.

He developed a plan.  The young son would return home.  He would be humble. Ask his father for forgiveness and seek his mercy. Seeking mercy to be allowed back home and hired as a worker. The young man woke up.  He had made the wrong decision.  He should have stayed at home, working with his father. Being in the world did not turn out as he had expected.

You will return to the Father.

His father allowed him to go off on his own.  Giving him the money.  The father hoped that the son would return, coming to his senses.  His son had to learn.  He had to learn what is means to be in the world but not of the world. He needed time to see and understand.  Do not love the world or anything in the world. -1 John 2:15 As the father hoped, the young son returned home.

Learn the lesson.

Just like the prodigal son, you will learn the lesson. A lesson that will cause you to reflect on your actions and evaluate the consequences.  You must see using your spirit not your eyes and flesh.  The world and its desires pass away. -1 John 2:17
