You are not in a competition with another person. Your competitor is you. Mastering yourself so that you run to win. Run in such a way to win the prize. -1 Corinthians 9:24 You must determine what is price that you seek. Align the prize with your purpose.
If you live in purpose, you will know where you want to go. Based on where you want to go, you will need to determine how you will get there. To run your race, you will need to undergo training. You must exercise self-control and develop habits. Habits developed through discipline. After 66 days of consistent discipline, you can develop a habit. To get there you must live by priority and your habits.
Apostle Paul knew his purpose – to spread the gospel and preaching the gospel to save souls. He did not run aimlessly. He had a cause and pursued his purpose. Paul disciplined his body and mind to bring both under control. He ran his race to win and win he did.
Have Aim
As with Paul, you are in control of your mind and body. You must develop habits that assist and aid you in running your race to win. Determine and identify what you need to be doing by priority. Have targets, goals and a vision. Apostle Paul says it best, So I do not run like one who runs aimlessly or box like one beating the air. -1 Corinthians 9:26 Run your race to win, take aim and be focused.
