Esau had no faith in the unseen. His faith was based on sight. Because he lacked spiritual sight and faith, he sold his inheritance to satisfy his hunger. “Who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.” -Hebrews 12:16 Later after he had realized the rashness of his actions, he sought to reclaim his inheritance. Esau missed his chance. It was too late to stake his claim.
Driving force.
There will be times that you will not see what is coming. There will be no clear vision or picture. Instead, there will be a driving force pressing your forward. Pressing you forward to be faithful and obedient. Faithful and obedient to follow the path that does not immediately reveal the rewards and outcomes. Do not become discouraged and impatient resulting in your giving up.
Settling for instant gratification.
Giving up and settling for instant gratification will cause you to miss out on what is to come. Focus not on what is immediately ahead instead seek new. A new horizon that will dawn. A new horizon leading to fulfillment and achievement. Believe and have faith that your pressing forward will not be in vain. Do overs are not possible. You got one shot to make the right decision and take the correct action.
