You are the light of the world. – Matthew 5:14 Because of the greatness that is within you, you shine brightly and are a beacon for others. Your light sparks the light of another. You lift up others so that they too will shine. Together we are more effective, overcoming darkness.
Light diminishes the power of the darkness. Darkness loses its power and cannot be sustained. Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. –John 1:5 Light illuminates everything and everyone. Nothing or no one can hide in the darkness. Light is good.
Our Savior
This week we celebrate the birth of the light that came into the world so that you could be a light. We celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus. Because of His sacrifice, you have the gift of everlasting life and salvation. He gives you the gift of his life so that you can shine. Equipping you to do work fulfilling the purpose of your creation.
Allow your light to shine. Do not take the gift of your light for granted. Your light is the source of your power and strength. Shine brightly and do not hide. A lamp is not purchased to be placed under a table or bed. It is deliberately placed in a room or area to light up a room or area. Use your light in strategic places and positions so that you can aid in extinguishing the darkness that is in this world. Let your light shine before others. -Matthew 5:16
