In John 8, Jesus said ‘I know where I came from and where I’m going. But you don’t know where I come from or where I’m going.” The issue is others will try to tell you who you are. Developing a preconception that is a misconception. Their misconception can result in your becoming distracted and discouraged. Causing you to doubt your purpose and cause.
Take time to reflect.
Take time over the next seven days to reflect on these three questions. 1. Do you know where you came from and where you are going? 2. Have you identified and determined your purpose? 3. Are you walking in your purpose? You must have focus and clarity.
Spiritually blinded.
The Pharisees did not want to see. Sought only to see with their physical eyes, blinding them spiritually.
Keep pressing forward
Jesus did not allow the Pharisees to take him off his course. He knew he was of the Father and that the Father had sent him into the world. He would be returning to the Father upon completing his assignment. Jesus was temporarily in the world to provide salvation and redemption. He had purpose and a cause.
In comparison, the Pharisees lacked direction and purpose. They were remaining aligned to old doctrine and not willing to see. They were seeking to be a distraction. Do not become like the Pharisees or allows others to change your direction.
Do not be a drifter.
Know who you are and where you are going. Do not be a boat that fails to use the power of its sails becoming a drifter. A drifter is a person who does not have a purpose or focus in their life. The person accepts and settles for whatever life gives. Strive to be a non-drifter, a person that knows and lives in their purpose. Do not allow others or life to control your thinking. Believe in what you can do. Know who and what you can do. You have a cause. Be dedicated to the pursuit and execution. Jesus allowed no one or thing to take him off his course. Be the same, remain steadfast, committed and dedicated. Know who you are and where you are going.
