In Genesis 15:4 God promised Abram that he would have a son. God had a plan. He would use Abram to create a great nation. At the time of the promise, Abram was 75 years old and Sarai was 65 years old. Fast forward to Genesis 17, both Sarai and Abram are renamed, Sarah and Abraham , respectively. God seals his promise with a covenant of circumcision. However, Sarah did not believe. God said to her “Is there anything too hard for the Lord?” –Genesis 18:14. I ask you, is there?
In Genesis 21, Sarah gives birth to a son, Isaac. Sarah was 90 years old and Abraham was 100 years old. The gap from the promise being made and realized was 25 years The story of Sarah and Abraham shows that God delivers on His promises on His time. Know that it is never too late. Do not doubt like Sarah where you take matters into your own hands, creating a mess. Protect your vision and be focused on God instead of your circumstances. It is for you to believe and be patient.
