Intangible Treasures

Celebrate this Christmas not just as a festive season. Let it be a reflection of the profound gifts bestowed upon you by the birth of our Savior. A divine offering that echoes through time. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord (Luke 2:11, NIV).

Take a moment amidst the joyous gatherings with family, loved ones and friends to ponder not only the tangible presents. Ponder the intangible treasures that have graced your life this year.

Create a list. Unwrap each gift of the heart.  Delve into their impact.  Not just on your life but on those around you.

Here are five of mine:

  1. Listening: Embracing the art of truly hearing, paying attention to the essence of the person’s narrative.
  2. Healthy Interpersonal Relationships: Forging authentic connections. Weaving a tapestry of meaningful relationships with those around me.
  3. Humility: Transformative power of humility. A virtue that humbles the soul and opens the door to profound growth.
  4. Perspective: Embracing the ability to see from different angles. Fostering a broader understanding of the world and its complexities.
  5. Serving: Engaging in the act of selfless service.  To be a resource that benefits others aligning with my purpose and bringing me fulfillment.

I challenge you to compile your own list, unwrapping the intangible treasures that have shaped your journey. Reflect upon how your gifts are a catalyst for your evolution and growth throughout this past year.

This Christmas let your celebrations extend beyond the surface. Resonate with the depth of the gifts you carry within your heart.

Merry Christmas!
