Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.

Recently I had the pleasure of hearing a sermon by Bishop Clifford L. Frazier that has been resonating in my mind and spirit. Bishop Frazier spoke of God’s unfailing love (Hesed) for each of us. Jerry Bridges states: “God’s unfailing love for us is an objective fact affirmed over and over in the Scriptures. It is true whether we believe it or not. Our doubts do not destroy God’s love, nor does our faith create it. It originates in the very nature of God, who is love, and it flows to us through our union with His beloved Son.”  God loves each us because He has chosen to love us and does so.  He loves us completely, even though we are sinful. God loves us even when no one else will. God provides us with all that we need and more. God will never abandon not one of us. God created us and all the earth. He lowered himself to take the form of a human body of which he is the Creator so that each of us may have life. God put Himself in a human body (jar of clay), that decomposes to ashes and dust to sacrifice for each of us so that we could have life, everlasting life.  If this was not sufficient to show Hesed for each of us, within our bodies of clay God has placed his Spirit to guide, lead and protect us. The Spirit of the Lord is far greater or worthier than our bodies.  God’s spirit is precious, it is a treasure that has no comparison. God’s actions clearly show how precious we are to him and his unfailing love for each of us. God chose you, me and all of mankind. We are blessed to be chosen.  “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.” – Psalm 33:12.

Due to God’s unfailing love, he has mercy on us so that we may have grace.  Through grace, the doors are opened. God promises are stated repeatedly throughout the Bible, his word never fails.  I ask you just as I was asked in at the culmination of the Bishop’s sermon.  What could you accomplish if you could not fail? Are you holding yourself back from pressing forward to becoming all that God has predestined?  If so, why? You have the tools and resources, the Spirit of the Lord within, all that you need to succeed and the greatness within you to be realized. I urge you to press forward, stop procrastinating, holding yourself back, putting off for another day. Take the stand, become the person that God created you to be. You have God’s Hesed, he will not let you fail. Go through the open door, God is waiting for you to step through, seizing and embracing the promises he has for your life. “Power belongs to you, God, and with you, Lord is unfailing love; and, You will reward everyone according to what they have done.” – Psalm 62:12.  The challenge has been issued.  Take action, grow, learn, evolve and become!
