God Has Expectations – Part II

Last week’s blog discussed the fig tree planted in the vineyard.  The vineyard owner instructed the vineyard keeper to cut down the fig tree.  The fig tree with leaves and no figs.  It was not meeting the expectations of the vineyard owner.  The tree had to go.

The vineyard keeper stated “Sir leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine? If not, then cut it down.” -Luke 13:8

The Chance

The vineyard keeper intercedes. He requests another chance for the tree. You have another chance.

Produce

God grants chances to produce.  A keeper is assigned to you.  A keeper to mentor and coach you to produce.   Equipping and empowering you to make progress. Your response is your choice.

You have one more year. In this year, you are to progress.  Moving forward to yield results.  Do not fail to take advantage of this opportunity. Commit to do because inaction is not an option.

Follow this 7-step process

  • Identify the objective.
  • What obstacles can inhibit meeting the objective?
  • Identify strategies that will minimize and remove the obstacles. Take action.
  • Determine the steps required to obtain the objective.  Cumulatively the steps are a process.
  • Commit to taking one step at a time.
  • Set a schedule and time. Take the action.
  • Rinse and repeat.

As you take a step each week you will see the results of your actions. You will produce. Producing is one step at a time. Strive to exceed God’s expectations.  He has been patient.  It is now time to produce.
