“Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands” (Deuteronomy 8:2, NIV).
Appreciate your journey. God is always with you. Leading you in the journey to the promise. He sustains, equips and empowers. In the forty years that the Israelites where in the desert, God was with them. He sustained, equipped and empowers.
I want you to reflect on where you have come from. In your reflections, think about these three points.
Sustained
God supports, maintains and upholds. “He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna” (Deuteronomy 8:3a, NIV)
List how you are sustained.
Equipped
You have the necessary tools, resources, skills, and knowledge to live a purposeful and meaningful life. Meeting and overcoming challenges and adversity encountered along your journey. You are ready and capable. “Teach you that man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord” (Deuteronomy 8:3b)
What areas have you been equipped?
Empowered
You have the authority to take control over your life, making the right choices and effecting change. Be confident in who you are and who is with you.
“It is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth” (Deuteronomy 8:18) What ways are you utilizing empowerment?
How are you using your power?
Keep going on your journey to the next level in your life. Use where you have been to be the evidence of your resilience and strength. You have the resources, ability and skills to keep going. Follow the pathway that is taking you to fulfilling your purpose.
