Equipped to Fight

You are equipped to fight. Use your weapons. Look beyond what you see to the unseen arsenal at your disposal.  Physical strength will not help in battles of the unnatural. Unnatural battles require unnatural weapons. You have the arsenal to be the victor.

Requires application

You have the knowledge of your opponent to win.  The resources for which to fight and the directions on how to use the instruments. What is missing is your application.

Use the unnatural

Your opponent is a fighter who does not fight fair.  He uses what is not natural. Targeting your weaknesses resulting in doubt and fear. He fights dirty requiring you to use your full armor to win against his schemes. You have a full armor that covers from head to feet along with a shield.  A shield to turn to cover exposed parts. There are parts exposed. This is where the attack is becomes more fierce.

  The full armor is:

  • Righteousness of Christ (breastplate) strengthens the heart
  • Truth (belt), the sincerity to follow and be obedient to God
  • Resolution (shoes) to walk firmly in religious faith
  • Hope (helmet) in knowing and believing in victory
  • The Word (the sword) which cuts through anything

Your armor deflects and extinguishes the flaming arrows of your opponent.  Assaults are continuous. You must put your faith and trust in the unnatural weapons.  The natural cannot win in this battle.

He will flee

God provides what is needed.  Letting you fight. Testing your will and faith to fight. You look to God, he smiles and looks back to you.  He is the proud father that says, “You got this one.” There are battles that you must fight. Recall Jesus fight in the wilderness. He fights back with the word. Not looking to God.  He applied his armor.  Jesus said “For it is written….” The word caused the devil to flee.  Your armor will do the same, applied and utilized. The devil will flee.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11, NIV).
