You were running well. Who prevented you from being persuaded regarded the truth. -Galatians 5:7
You look back to what is comfortable. What you have grown accustomed. Conformity seeks to halt progression. Keeping you stagnant. Conforming to your peers. Pressured by peers yearning for their approval and acceptance. You must choose to stand firm in your values and beliefs pressing forward.
Accept being uncomfortable
In the book of Galatians, the Galatians were in turmoil. Not knowing who to follow or what to believe. Paul preached about Christ, the new way. The Jews wanted everyone to remain under the law, the old way. The new way was uncomfortable to the Jews. They sought to make the Galatians uncomfortable. Causing them to doubt and look backwards. Backwards is not progression.
Move with the Spirit
Be willing to step out on the new. Going forward not looking back. Do not conform and yield to pressure. Pressure to follow others who seek to block your progress. You must stand your ground. Believe in the path that you are forging. The path that you are to create. Do not go where the path leads instead go where there is no path and leave a trail. -Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Use the eyes of your spirit to be your guide. Move with the spirit and not man. The spirit moves you forward.
Missing Out
Staying the same results in missed opportunities and passing up new possibilities. The Galatians staying loyal to the old way of thinking would cause them to be slaves to law, where Christ had set them free. Stand firm then and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. -Galatians 5:1
You have been set free to go forward. Rebel against staying the same.
