2 Peter 1:3 (NIV) states “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” You have God’s divine nature. A nature that you must grow, develop and transform using the seeds that are within you.  Seeds that are the potential to sprout into a mighty tree.

By obedience and faith, you have the seeds of goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, mutual affection and love.

The Path of Intentional Development

Goodness: The Starting Point – The active choice to reflect God’s character in your daily actions. This foundational element shapes how you interact with the world around us.

Knowledge: Growing in Understanding –Beyond basic awareness, this knowledge involves deep understanding of God’s ways. It’s practical wisdom that guides your decisions and shapes your perspective.

Self-Control: Mastering Our Nature – Requires disciplined practice. Teaching you govern your impulses and align your actions with divine purposes rather than momentary desires.

Perseverance: Standing Firm – Maintaining course despite challenges, growing stronger through each test.

Godliness: Reflecting Divine Character – Reflecting God’s nature in your life which is not perfection but progressive transformation into His image.

Mutual Affection: Building Community – Nurturing meaningful connections with others, creating supportive relationships that foster collective growth.

Love: The Ultimate Expression – Binds all the seeds together in perfect unity. The highest expression of our divine nature, transforming every other element.

The Power of Integration

These seven seeds work together, each strengthening the other. Their development takes time.  As the seeds develop, they produce effectiveness in calling, productivity in your purpose, confidence in your identity, authority for you to walk.

Development requires diligence and patience. View each day as an opportunity to grow these seeds, gradually transforming you into who God knows you can be.
