God’s word and SPIRIT are catalysts that transport you into new dimensions in the journey of your life. You are inwardly transformed through the Holy Spirit and God’s word, putting on a new self and a new creation. Allow God and his Spirit to reside within you, thereby being transformed. Best selling author Mark Batterson says “the Spirit is the quickening, it defibrillates our spirit with God’s word so that we experience a little resurrection every time we read God’s word.” The Spirit brings dreams to life, and catapults you into taking action. The Spirit fuels your faith, you know that God is able and that HE delivers on his promises. You no longer place limits on your dreams because you know that the one that resides within is providing you with freedom and his light, transforming your mind. “Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)
God’s word changes the way you think, act, feel, live your life, and love others. Saul of Tarsus was transformed into the Apostle Paul, becoming the greatest advocate of the gospel and Jesus. Through God, the Apostle Paul wrote over half of the New Testament. The Word and the Spirit seasons your actions and responses, you do not act like you used to act. “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7 Transformation is a continual process, each day you must seek to grow in mind and spirit. Growing in your relationship with the Lord and in his word, standing and believing in HIS promises for your life. Allow the Spirit and the word of the Lord to abide in you. Jesus said, “If you abide in me, my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish and it be done for you.” John 15:7 Hence if you abide in God, what you ask will be his will and his purpose for you. As you become devoted to reading God’s word, By our actions will be a reflection of his word. When you put God’s word into practice and allow the Spirit to lead, you will be in essence answering his call on your life. Jesus died for each of us, gifting us with grace. “You are no longer bound to the law but bound to Christ. My brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.” (Romans 7:4) God has created you to bear fruit in his kingdom, hence as long as you are doing his work, abiding in his word, and living by the Spirit, he will grant you what you ask. Jesus said, “If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:7)
When the word of God and his Spirit live within you, you are energized and filled with purpose. You are transformed! God’s Spirit sets you on fire to do his will and work, leading to your becoming who you were created to be, becoming the person that you are seeking to be. The Word and Spirit enable you to have a direct connection to the Lord, opening your mind to listening to HIM who is able to provide you with the resources to reach your dreams, answering the call on your life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask for anything according to his will, he hears us. And we if know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” (1 John 5: 14-15) Les Brown stated, “To achieve something you have never achieved before you must become someone you have never been.” Be Transformed!
