We must have courage when pursuing purpose. God provides us with the talents that we need; however, we must be brave to live in our purpose. In the Bible Timothy struggled with fear. Apostle Paul wrote to him in 2 Timothy encouraging him to continue running his race. Giving in to fear was not an option. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment. – 2 Timothy 1:7.
Apostle Paul was a role model for Timothy. Frankly he is a role model for us all. Apostle Paul underwent much adversity and he did not throw in the towel. Apostle Paul chose to fight and won his battles. As with Apostle Paul, we must choose to fight. We cannot give up on pursuing our purpose even when faced with uncertainty and adversity. We must choose to continue running the race for which has been predestined.
I challenge everyone to live in their purpose. Never giving up on who you are and what you can do. Do not allow anyone to devalue you and do not doubt the greatness that is within you. In the life story of Martin Luther King, Jr., Martin was having a conversation with his friend Ralph Abernathy. Martin stated that he was tired and was contemplating giving up on continuing the fight for racial equality. Abernathy stated to him, “But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and are saved.” – Hebrews 10:39. Know who you are and whose you are. Be courageous, never going up on the pursuit of the purpose for your life.
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for these words.
