Another Way by HS Jackson

In Luke 5:17, Jesus was preaching to a large crowd.  Some men were carrying a paralyzed man on a mat, seeking to get the man to Jesus so he could be healed.  The men attempted to reach Jesus through the crowd but the crowd was too large thus they were unable to get through.   The men did not allow this obstacle to dissuade them from their mission in which Jesus was speaking.  They lowered the paralyzed man through the roof into the middle of the crowd, placing him directly in front of Jesus.  Jesus saw their faith and their confidence in him, he said “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” – Luke 5:20

The point of this story is that the men found another way.  Their initial thought was that there was only one way which was through the crowd.  However, they found that going through the crowd was not possible thus they found another way.   The alternative solution was more impactful, placing the paralyzed man directly in front of Jesus. The men were persistent and insistent, did not allow an obstacle to paralyze them from proceeding with pursuing action.  This same principle applies to each of us.  You must stop looking at one way as being the only way.  This leads to limiting the capacity of your thinking, creativity and potential.  Shake off the shackles of conformity and mediocrity in the pursuit of better.  Do not allow obstacles to keep you from pressing forward.  Believe and know that better is possible.  There is always another way.  Believe it can happen and it will.
