At 17 years old, God appointed Jeremiah to be a prophet. Jeremiah sought to resist and avoid the appointment. Just like Jeremiah, you seek to avoid or decline your appointment. Avoid or decline due to self-limiting beliefs that you have planted and developed in your mind. Jeremiah’s self-limiting beliefs caused him to doubt and fear what he could do. He did not believe in his potential. Jeremiah did not know who he was. He lacked faith in himself. Then the Lord reached out his hand touched my mouth and told me I have now filled your mouth with my words. -Jeremiah 1:9
The touch.
God touched Jeremiah to awaken him. Awakening him to his capability and talent. Filling him with confidence and strength to undertake and pursue his assignment. God had predetermined his appointment. Jeremiah needed to know and understand his assignment. Knowing and believing that he had the capability and talent to execute his assignment. God had gifted Jeremiah with the ability to be a speaker. Just as God equipped Jeremiah, He qualifies you with what you need to answer and accept your calling.
God equips.
Equipping you with talent and gifts. God gives you the ability to achieve and accomplish the purpose of your creation. Jeremiah’s purpose was to be a prophet. You have a purpose. Believe in and pursue your purpose.
Do not doubt.
There is no need to doubt or be fearful. You have the potential and the talent to accomplish what you set out to do. Be obedient and have faith. Believe in what is within and who is with you. You are not deficient and are not lacking. Do not give doubt and fear power in your mind. Fear and doubt will cause you to become paralyzed and stymied. Look beyond what you see and see what God sees.
Do not doubt who you are and what you can do. Awaken your senses and you will see your capabilities. What you need and require is provided and available. All is within and with you. Open your mind to the touch of God. A touch that equips, empowers and enables. Rise up and move forward to walk and live in your purpose.
