Trust in His Eyes

In Joshua 2:1, Joshua selected two men to go scout out new land.  More specifically, intel on Jericho. The time had come for battle. A battle that would require courage.  Courage to conquer the inhabitants of the Promised Land.

Follow and learn

God guided the two spies to the house of Rahab.  I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. -Psalm 32:8

To go the way, you must be willing to follow to learn.  God knew who and where to send the two men.  The spies trusted and followed.  Believing in the sight of the Lord.

God directed them to the person (Rahab) who would welcome and take care of the two men.  She knew from where they had come and to whom they belonged.  Rahab knew her people were doomed.  She ditched the king of Jericho to follow God. Hiding the two men from the king and set the kings men in the wrong direction.  She put her trust in the Lord.

He directs steps

God knew where the two men could find refuge and a friend.  He directed their steps.  Directed them to Rahab.  Just like these two men, God directs you.  He knows where you are to go.  To whom you need to seek as refuge and a friend.  He directs you to the individuals who will aid you in your journey.  Let God guide you with his eyes.  Trust in his eyes to lead you in the direction you need to go and to meet the individuals that will support your vision.
